Terms of Service

Last updated: July 30, 2026

These terms cover your use of SpellABC.com. By creating an account you agree to them. The service is operated by an individual, not a company, reachable at [email protected].

What the service is

SpellABC.com is a spelling practice app for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Parents create profiles for their children; teachers may join with an invite code to follow student progress and assign word lists.

Who may use it

Your account

Keep your Google account secure, since it is how you sign in. You are responsible for activity under your account, for the PINs you set for your children, and for the devices you choose to link. If you think someone else has access, revoke the affected device from your parent dashboard and contact us.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Content and ownership

The word library, generated audio, artwork, avatars, and the software itself remain the property of the operator and are licensed to you for personal or classroom use only. Content you enter, such as a child's display name or a teacher's bio, remains yours; you grant only the permission needed to operate the service for you.

AI-generated content

Word meanings, example sentences, spoken audio, and progress summaries are generated with AI. They are reviewed for suitability but may still contain mistakes. They are practice material and informal guidance, not professional educational or clinical assessment. Please use judgment before relying on any single summary.

Availability

The service is provided as is, without guarantees of uptime. It is run by one person, so maintenance, interruptions, and occasional data loss are possible. Features may change or be withdrawn. Please do not treat the app as the only record of a child's progress.

Ending your use

You may stop at any time. Deleting your account and your children's profiles is self-service from your parent dashboard and takes effect immediately. Accounts that break these terms, or that put children's safety at risk, may be suspended or removed.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for lost data, or for educational outcomes arising from use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be reflected in the date above, and continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
